IHG has signed agreements with Ho Tram Project Company Ltd., a subsidiary of Asian Coast Development, to rebrand the Grand Ho Tram at the Ho Tram Strip integrated resort as the InterContinental Grand Ho Tram. The company will also open a new-build Holiday Inn Resort on Ho Tram Beach next year.

“This signing marks a new milestone in our growth in Vietnam, as we welcome our first Holiday Inn Resort in the country and continue to expand our InterContinental brand,” said Serena Lim, VP development for IHG South East Asia & Korea, in a statement. “As international and domestic travel continues to grow, the expansion of the property and facilities puts us in a great position to provide different experiences for a diverse group of guests.”

The 533-room Grand Ho Tram, which will get its new name following a renovation, has three dining outlets, a convention center that can accommodate up to 1,300 people in a large ballroom and five meeting rooms, outdoor pools, a gym, a spa, a golf course, a retail space and a casino gaming floor.

The Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach, meanwhile, will be a 502-room family-focused property with swimming pools and a 360-degree rooftop bar. The hotel will also have direct access to a movie theater, a bowling arcade, a food court and a water park.

IHG currently has 13 hotels in Vietnam, more than half of which are under the InterContinental brand including the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort and InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort.

The Ho Tram Strip, one of the first integrated resorts to launch in Vietnam, is a two-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City.
